After many years of loyal service, the note‑taking app Turtl will soon be shutting down. It’s been a truly helpful tool, but unfortunately its development has been almost completely inactive for quite a while.
Because of this, we’ve been looking around for alternatives — and that’s how we discovered Joplin. It checks all the boxes: it’s reliable, actively maintained, and best of all, you get complete offline access since your notes are downloaded and synced across all your devices! 
Turtl will be decommissioned in December 2025. Please make sure to download your notes before the end of the year if you have a Turtl account with Nomagic.

For anyone used to Turtl, you’ll feel at home with Joplin pretty quickly. It’s a bit more flexible in how notes are displayed, and it also comes with full‑text search.
